- We perform Hawan once a month, always on the last Sunday of the month (3rd Sunday if the last Sunday is a long weekend).
- Time is 11:00 AM sharp (so please try to be there by 10:45am).
- Our children are our main focus of attention and parents must try and bring them over.
- Once a year during summer (mostly in the month of May) we organize a "Preeti Bhoj" (community lunch) and, weather permitting, we have a picnic on that day.
- We have one topic for kids to prepare each month. Topics are related to our religion and culture. Parents are informed of upcoming topics via email. Members should try to bring a good thought for the others.
- Everybody on email list is informed of the Hawan, but the Yajman family is required to invite group through email, phone, fax etc.
- The list of Yajman families for upcoming year is identified at Hawan in the month of December. All the families with intent to have Hawan performed at their homes are required to provide input on or before December Hawan date.
- At the end of the Hawan, we only share "prashad" of Halwa that we offer to Yajya, and a drink (water, soft drink and tea only). Any other food is not required or expected.
- Brahama family is supposed to assign one person for the purpose of distributing prasad. Prasad and drinks should not be served until Shantipooja is performed.
